Membership Program

Hi, I’m Nathan Langley. Join my membership program and together we will create new gardens, trial unique plants, and develop new gardening resources.

Memberships directly support the development of new trial gardens and related resources.

But members also gain access to discounts for my perennial plant store & on-site garden consultations, as well as members-only resources, and priority responses to gardening questions via email.

Hello potential member!

2025 is the first year for this membership program. As such, I intend to add to the list of available resources and material as I develop new trial gardens.

Discounts are currently the main difference between Yearly and Monthly memberships:

Yearly members receive

Otherwise, all members (Yearly & Monthly) receive priority responses to gardening questions via email.

All members gain access to the Members-only website. It is here that you will find the following resources:

  • The Northern Canadian Plant Library

My digital plant library focused on perennials growing in hardiness zones 3 & 4 within Canada.

All plants listed within the library are either ones that are growing in my personal gardens at home or are part of my trial garden that is currently under construction.

Each plant listed contains general information about the plant, as well as photographs documenting what the plant looks like throughout the seasons, and my personal observations.

A current list of the plants included in the library can be found here

  • Flower Garden Design & Implementation Guide

Where I walk you through all of the steps I take during my garden design service, with lots of visual aids to help you along the way.

This guide currently contains the following sections:

    (1) Preparation: Tools Needed

    (2) Preparation: Initial Plant List

    (3) Design: Measuring a Space

    (4) Design: Rough Drawings

    (5) Design: Plans

    (6) Implementation: Site Preparation

    (7) Implementation: Planting

    (8) Implementation: Finishing Details

  • Garden Recipes

I have put together six different small garden concepts to help you with ideas for your own garden at home.

Each recipe outlines the plant material that is used, along with a completed plant list, and sketches showing what plants are in flower during spring, summer, and fall.

These recipes currently focus on a max hardiness zone of 4, with a mixture of zone 2, 3, and 4 plants used.

  • Planting Details

Where I share my how-to drawings for the following applications:

    Planting: Pot — Deciduous Tree

    Planting: Pot — Perennials

Planting: Wire Cage — Deciduous Tree

Planting: Wire Cage — Evergreen Tree

    Transplanting: Shrubs & Perennials
